Ray joined Cutlass Capital in 2001 as a member of our Advisory Board and as a Venture Partner in 2006.

Ray has over 30 years of health care industry experience. Prior to Cutlass Capital, he was CEO of Eunoe, a venture-backed start-up medical device company, from 2003 to 2005. From 1983 to 1997, Ray served as CEO of Nellcor Puritan Bennett (NYSE: NPB), a $1 billion revenue medical device company with over 4000 employees sold to Mallinckrodt for $2 billion. He was also the National Sales Manager for Bentley Laboratories from 1976 to 1983 and served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps from 1970 to 1975.

Ray has also been a Principal of health care merchant bank Group Outcome since 2000 and has served as Chairman and Director on the board of numerous public and private health care companies. He is also a former President of AdvaMed (Advanced Medical Technology Association, previously Health Industry Manufacturers Association).

Ray is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of St. Mary’s College (Moraga, CA) and has a BS from LaSalle University.
