E. David Hetz

Co-Founder and Managing Member, San Francisco Office.

Prior to founding Cutlass Capital, David was an investment banker with Robertson Stephens & Co. ("RS&Co.") from 1987 until 1999. He was Director of the M&A Department, co-head of Investment Banking, and a member of the Management Committee. During his twelve years at RS&Co., David focused on the health care industry and established RS&Co. as one of the preeminent M&A advisors to the health care industry in the 1990s. While at RS&Co., David was also actively involved with RCS Health Care Partners, L.P., a $50 million merchant banking fund focused on investing in health care.

David is a Director of Titan Health Corporation and an Observer on the Board of Xoft, Inc. He previously served as a Director of Alere Medical, Inc., as a Director of Byram Holdings, Inc., and as an Observer on the Boards of IntelliCare America, Inc. and Apneon, Inc. David has also served as a director of several public and private health care companies not associated with Cutlass Capital. In addition, he serves on the Board of Trustees of Claremont McKenna College and on the Advisory Board of the Kravis Leadership Institute.

David has a BA from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
